4Store is an application marketplace for Control4 home automation systems. With a free 4Store account, you can browse, purchase, and download apps to the navigators on your Control4 system. 4Store has apps to keep you updated on the latest news, track your friends through the most popular social networking sites, check new movies released, and most importantly, monitor and control your home.
Signing up for 4Store is easy and it’s free! Just go to http://www.4store.com/?q=user/register and fill in the blanks. Shortly after you request your new account, you’ll receive an email confirmation. You’ll be using your new apps in no time! After your account is set up, simply log in to 4Store from your touch screens or your TV’s on-screen display (using your 4Store login and password) and go to More > 4Store. To purchase apps, you’ll need to enter your payment (credit card) information. You can do that at any time after you create your account.
Yes! Your login for my.control4.com will not work on 4Store.
No! You only need to purchase apps once; you may then run the apps on all of your Control4 touch screens and TVs. Keep in mind that you may need to do a 4Store Update (More > 4Store Update) on each Navigator to install your newly-purchased app.
Application developers decide which touch screen resolutions to support, and whether their app will support on- screen (TV) interfaces. Some apps only work on TVs, while other apps only work on 5” and 7” touch screens. Some apps, however, work on all Control4 touch screens and on-screen interfaces.
You can tell which devices an app supports by viewing the app details on 4Store.com or on 4Store on your Navigator (More > 4Store > Search or Browse). If your device resolution isn’t supported, you may want to contact the developer to express your interest in their app on a currently unsupported resolution. You can do this on the 4Store web site.
If you click on 'My Apps' there is a link for 'Contact Developer'. This message will be sent directly to the developer of the application. (You must be logged in to access this feature)
Periodically, app developers release updates to their apps. To make sure you are using the latest version of all of your apps, go to More > 4Store > Update on each of your touch screens and on-screen displays. If any of your apps have been updated, you will be prompted to update your app. After the updated apps are installed, your touch screens or Controller restarts. What about on-screen?
If you click on 'My Apps', there is a link for reviewing the applications you have purchased. You cannot review an app that you do not own. (You must be logged in to access this feature)
No. Unfortunately, the operating system on these devices does not support Adobe Flash, which is required for 4Store applications.
